Why use a cover

A few practical reasons to keep one on the coil.

Catches sweat and oils

Skin contact during a session leaves sweat and oils on the coil. The cover takes that instead, so the coil stays cleaner.

Easy to wash

Slip it off and wash it, instead of trying to clean the coil itself. Put it back on when it's dry.

Protects the surface

A fabric layer between the coil and daily handling helps keep its outer surface from picking up dirt and wear.

Good for shared use

If more than one person uses the coil, or you use it on a pet, a washable cover gives you a clean layer you can swap between sessions.

Do you need a coil cover?

An honest look at when it's worth getting one and when you can skip it.

Worth getting one
  • More than one person uses the coil — in a clinic, or at home across a family — and you want a clean layer you can swap and wash between users
  • You use the coil on pets or horses and want a washable barrier between animal sessions and everything else
  • Sessions leave sweat or oils on the coil and you'd rather wash a cover than wipe down the coil each time
  • You want to keep the coil in good condition — a cover takes the day-to-day dirt and handling so the coil itself stays cleaner over time
You may not need one
  • You're the only person using the coil and already wipe it down after each session — a cover is a convenience here, not a necessity
  • Your coil already came with a cover and it's still in good shape — you only need this if you want a spare or a replacement

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the coil cover, answered honestly.

Yes. The same cover is made to fit the Sentient Element coil, whether you run a single or dual setup.

It's a thin fabric cover designed to be used with the coil and not interfere with its output. You leave it on during sessions and use the coil the same way you normally would.

The cover is washable. Slip it off the coil, wash it, and put it back on once it's dry — the same idea as the washable fabric on our mats.

No. Because it's a hygiene item, the coil cover is non-returnable and non-refundable. If you're not sure you need one, the section above lays out when it's worth getting and when you can skip it.
